Word Art Wednesday #57: Little Mess

It was a little over a year ago when my boyfriend let me listen to This is The Stuff by Francesca Battistelli. It's such a wonderful song, but some words really stuck out to me. "In the middle of my little mess, I forget how big I'm blessed." How true is that? Despite the difficulty of my struggles, I am extremely blessed - having a roof over my head and an amazing family who supports me is just the beginning.

This Busy Life and I hope you enjoy today's inspirational Word Art!

May Flowers

May is one of my favourite months. In the beginning, chilly winds and rains from April and March seep through. Throughout the month, they are eventually overcome by sunny skies and vibrant green buds waiting to blossom. I love how quickly the season changes and how alive and green the outdoors becomes. When I think of May, I think of buds, flowers, blue skies and sunshine.

Trillium Forest

My family and I absolutely love walking. Since we have two dogs, they keep us busy and encourage us to find new walking routes. We discovered this beautiful little trail by our house and walk it (or snow-shoe it) year round. It truly is beautiful in every season.

This past weekend, my mom and I walked through it and spotted these beautiful trilliums which had popped up for springtime.

Word Art Wednesday #56: Hope and Despair

I don't have much to say about today's Word Art. This Busy Life and I were inspired by this quote by George Bernard Shaw. Without something to look forward to, it is impossible to be disappointed about it.

Word Art Wednesday #55: After Every Rain

Rainy days can be discouraging. Remember though, that after every rain comes a rainbow. No matter how difficukt your situation is, remember that there will be something to look forward to at the end! Thanks, This Busy Life for the wonderful opportunity to share my word art!

Word Art Wednesday #54: Giving Up

Giving up is an all to easy task. Walking away from difficult situations is much easier than confronting them. But facing fears head on, knowing fully that it may not turn out how you had planned, that's courage. That's strength. Today's word art may be wordy, but it sums this up perfectly.

If you're new here, Word Art Wednesday is a weekly inspirational quote I post here and on This Busy Life. I've also began to do Etsy-Round Up posts there too! Check out my first one here. Enjoy!

Word Art Wednesday #53: Little By Little

This Busy Life and I love J. R. R. Tolkien's saying featured in today's Word Art. Several little, baby steps on their own may seem unimportant, but when put together, they span a significant distance. Getting to where you want to be generally won't happen in one giant leap or with one significant event, but with several little ones. Thanks, Tolkien, for today's encouragement!

Word Art Wednesday #52: Wisdom and Wonder

Today's Word Art for This Busy Life and I features words of wisdom, quite literally. Socrates was a brilliant man, but even he knew that one does not accumulate wisdom and knowledge without have the curiosity to do so first! Enjoy!

Julia: Spring Portraits

I've had the pleasure of getting to know Julia for the past couple of years. Over the past year, we have gotten to know each other much better. She is a lovely friend and person to be around, I'm so glad I have her in my life. The other day, we took advantage of the beautiful weather for some springy photos. Last minute, I grabbed her beautiful gerbera daisy as a prop. Here are my favourites!

Throw Back Thursday: Word Art Beginnings

Today marks one whole year of Word Art!

If you're confused by that term, I will explain it for you. Each week, I create "word art" in Photoshop using my favourite photos and quotes. I post them here on my blog, and they are also featured each Wednesday on This Busy Life. This Busy Life is a website where all types of people share daily musings and thoughts about anything and everything. I am so thankful for the opportunity to be featured on such a wonderful and uplifting site each week.

This also led to the opening of my Etsy Shop RD Prints, where I sell prints of my Word Art.

Word Art has been a great outlet for me to express myself through creatively pairing colours, my own photography and quotes I love. It really is an honour to know that other people enjoy my art, and I hope that never ends.

So, in commemoration of my Word Art's one year anniversary, I will post my first ever Word Art. This was posted on April 18, 2012. Thank you to everyone who shared this journey with me!

Word Art Wednesday #51: It Takes Courage

Sometimes the seemingly simplest things turn out to be the hardest to do. Growing up and remaining the truest version of yourself, unhindered by others is not an easy task by any means. This Busy Life and I love the way E. E. Cummings' poetic style encapsulates this fear. It really does take courage to become who we were meant to be all along.

Word Art Wednesday #50: Finding Peace

This Busy Life and I love this week's Word Art quote by Virginia Woolf. Rather than avoiding issues, go out and solve them. Then, you will find true peace.

Word Art Wednesday #49: Have Faith

Today's Word Art for This Busy Life and I is simple, but it hits close to home. Living in a world where there are so many struggles, it's easy to get discouraged and give up. Hold on, have faith that things will get better.

Easter Weekend

I spent my Easter Weekend with my closest family at my older sister's new place. It was so great to have a break from the everyday for a beautiful weekend together. We took a day trip to this gorgeous covered bridge and gorge. Enjoy!

Word Art Wednesday #48: Be Still

Be still. This is something I am far to quick to forget. I often put myself in the middle of things try to see what I can do, but sometimes we are called to step back and let God handle the things that we cannot. I also believe the phrase 'be still' means to stand firm in belief and faith rather than weakening at the sight of trouble. If you haven't checked out This Busy Life yet, go do so now!

Word Art Wednesday #47: Spring

Welcome to the first day of Spring! Am I ever glad it's finally here, although I still see snow when I look outside. I can't wait for new life to bud and grow into a fresh, green landscape! I also can't wait for warmer weather and less busy times so I can finally get my camera outside.

This Busy Life and I have enjoyed compiling words we think of for Autumn and Winter. Here's our Spring rendition!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This Busy Life sent me this quote and asked for it to be on our St. Patrick's Day Word Art. It means a hundred thousand welcomes in Irish and Scottish Gaelic. How sweet! Wishing you all have a wonderful day!

Change in life is inevitable and unpredictable. This Busy Life and I adore this quote from Kathleen Norris because she beautifully and poetically describes the impact change can have on our lives. Enjoy!

Word Art Wednesday #40

This Busy Life sent me this beautiful quote and I paused to consider its meaning. Why must we always consume our minds with the actions of people around us? We must remember to focus on ourselves and pursue what makes us happy despite others' actions.

Word Art Wednesday #38

It's good to be back with our weekly word arts. This Busy Life and I enjoy collaborating with each other to provide beautiful and inspiring images every week.

Arthur Rubenstein was a highly influential composer. He decided to love life against all the odds, and discovered that as long as he decided to remain positive, good things started to happen.

Word Art Wednesday #37

Word Art Wednesdays are finally back! I made small word art images for Christmas and New Years, and so This Busy Life and I decided to take a small break over the holidays. Hopefully you all had excellent vacations!

Be free. These are two small, simple words which can mean so much when placed together. Although it seems to be a simple task at first, redding ourselves of our inhibitions is much more difficult than expected. We must let ourselves let go and finally be free.
